Downtown by frans

Downtown = modern fusion brunch in a cool atmosphere — but on the pricier side.
After a few visits to Central Park (Dusit), I noticed Downtown is one of the few spots where you’ll often see a queue. So when it wasn’t busy, we took the chance to try it.
The menu gives a Western brunch vibe, but with a modern fusion twist — some dishes have creative looks and interesting flavor tweaks, so it’s definitely not your usual “standard Western brunch.”
Taste-wise, it’s a bit of a mix. Some dishes were good, some were just okay — not bad, but considering the price, you’d probably expect more.
What I liked:
- Friendly, helpful staff who explain the menu well
- Nice, stylish decoration
- Creative presentation
What I didn’t love:
- Quite expensive — honestly feels pricier than some places I tried in the UK
- Not every dish felt worth the price
Would I recommend Downtown?
If there’s no queue and you’re curious, then yes — give it a try and see if their style fits your taste. Food is subjective, and you might love it more than I did.
Would I go again?
Maybe — if a friend wanted to go. But I don’t think I’d go solo.
Cheers! ☕🍽️✨
